This position is part of the Abbott Global Information Services organizaton. The incumbent plans and conducts assigned projects and/or tasks within Job Scheduling. Develops processes and procedures for design and creation of new jobs and exercises technical judgment in making adaptations and modifications to existing jobs. Analyzes results and acts to modify discrepancies. Independently conceives and develops approaches to the solution of problems which require advanced technical knowledge of tools and processes used by Job Scheduling.

This position frequently interacts with divisional customers on projects. Directs the work of less experienced Job Scheduling staff. Investigates scheduling performance issues and confers with level three to optimize schedule. Develops and formalizes procedures for scheduling team.

The incumbent must be available for occasional projects requiring some night and weekend support.

This position can be filled at either the Grade 14 or Grade 12 level depending upon skills and experience of the candidate. This position is based in the Columbus, OH area and relocation assistance is not available.
Basic Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2-Years of IT experience.
* 2 Years of Job Scheduling Experience.
* Working knowledge of Zeke/Zeb and Autosys job scheduling software
* Demonstrated ability to follow policies, procedures, and requirements for testing and creating jobs.
* Demonstrated good customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
* Demonstrated problem solving skills, excellent communication skills.
* Must be available for occasional projects requiring some night and weekend support.


Preferred:
* UNIX commands and vi text editor
* SharePoint
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
